Sadly i think part of the agenda just becomes monetizing the traumatic experience/turning it into their livelihood to get something back out of it and hopefully to also heal or thinking doing it best interests but to do that and compete in the podcasting/talking heads space often means being at the top of relevance or some controversy

Takes a lot of courage and self-awareness to say “I was wrong” Buck, so kudos. I have a vague notion who you’re talking about and I think it’s one (or a few?) young, early twenties activist(s)? Rebellion and rejection are like the hallmark of youth? So may be partly that? Very few people I’ve known actually were ‘friends’ with their parents, mostly generational clashes. Simone Beauvoir wrote a book in later life on aging (some say it was better than the Second Sex). Eye opening to see how old people are treated across cultures (mostly, but not always, very badly). Try not to take it personal and be disheartened, it inly gets worse!

"It only gets worse" haha Love that and thank you for taking time to read. I did this also to stop the insanity and when I own up to my mistake people can either see that or not and it is not. Love Buck

This is a silly world. A podcast I was listening to yesterday talked about how true humility leads to growth and real knowledge. You learned more about an issue near and dear to your heart, and you acted on it. You never claimed to be anyone more than a human being trying to make sense of the world and trying to do your best. Blessings, my friend.

Don't let them get to you dude. But I'm glad they lead you to write that. It was sincere, and the conversation about trans is desperately in need of more sincerity--on all "sides." Gratitude and blessings to you!

You know...I hope you do Buck..that most gender critical people are not like this. I am not.

I think one of the (many) problems with social media is that clips of very old events can be pulled out and shown with no context, often no date and usually with no data to indicate how often/ how many people this applies to, etc. And no indication that a person may have changed their opinion, or gone on to do good for people.

We are still dealing with very small numbers of people, even though numbers at gender clinics have increased. There are reasons why this has occurred. But of course every child or adult who is misled by ideology, or doctors, or extremists is one too many.

It’s so difficult to sort out the real & true from the bullshit these days, and online info is often so unverifiable. So I was really impressed to hear you open up personally like this. I am I suppose what you’d call a ‘GC’ person, although I am not critical of ‘gender’, I’m critical of people who use disinformation as a way to persuade others to an unworthy, unsavoury or untruthful cause. I’m not on board with the with ‘trans’ thing, but it’s mainly the men I have a problem with, because they cause a lot of worry for women & children. So I get where you’re coming from and kudos to you for looking to the safety of kids. That’s the most important thing of all.

Oh Buck I'm so sorry to hear this. Dr Phil had this saying, that our past is our future. It shows a lot more about them, than you. They are ugly and nasty. I would like to say ignore them, but I know this will be very hurtful to you. You were doing your best at the time to help, but new scientific findings came out. How were you to know?

So you changed your stance, but they won't let that go.

As for your porn, well that's laughable that they have to focus on that. You have gained a lot of followers, and they don't like that. Although I do belive there are a lot of trolls in your community. I know this doesn't help, but I support you for who you are now. You are helping so many people and that's what counts. Those assholes can take a hike as you are the better person for being who you are. Just keep doing what you are doing and don't let them get you down too much. All my luv to you Buck.

Yes, many people have skeletons in their closet. Probably not a great idea to film a work meeting with confused clients discussing a topic you knew very little about, upload it for eternity and then complain when a few nasty people rebuke you for your misinformation and then publish that.

They turn on you and so you turn on them. And so what's your point?

fwiw, i dont think you believe in transing kids. the reason i dont is becuase of your affiliation with Reed and your shared group. however, i do forgive gender critical people who get things totally wrong. the reason for this is gender dogma is intentionally deceptive and confusing. many people really arent even sure what gay is yet, and gender activists have promoted language that is decpetive and confusing. gender dogma is designed to rob the rights of a half doz vulnerable groups to benefit white males. how they do this is by confusing people and lying. so its no surprize they many are confused and PO'd
