Thanks for being vulnerable. People should be able to have compassion for kids struggling like this.

You have such a fascinating life story and perspective, Buck. Glad you've found the space to love your past self. (Unrelated to gender issues at all, I still struggle with that one myself! As I think so many of us do.)

Thank you for reading. Yes we all struggle with something. I have a great relationship with my Dad now because I worked on me and not him. Its hard to own up to stuff BUT wow when you look inside and learn to forgive its so powerful. I tjink the new trans space is full of people who need to learn self love before anything❤️

I’m was also a runner. I started when I was 29, now I’m 77. I started when my ex husband split and I had two babies to raise, quit smoking and started running. I qualified for the Boston marathon for over 20 years and once ran 50 miles. The first was only a few years after women were allowed to run. It is the thing that changed my life, gave me confidence and purpose. I 💯 support women’s sports. No males should ever compete as a female. This year a male pretending to be a female got into the Boston marathon. A women who posted on social media that only women should run as women was vilified and dropped by her running club. She ran a 2:50 marathon 6 months after giving birth. The group pro women XX-XY sponsored her. Title 9 is for actual. women.

As I read this post about how important running is for you, it makes me so sad to think about trans children who were given puberty blockers at a young age and are now suffering with severe health issues (often bone, joint, and endocrine problems). I spoke to a trans teenager who was given puberty blockers in her early teens and now by age 17/18 she’s in so much pain she can barely walk. I have spoken to women who took Lupron for precocious puberty and by their 20’s they are literally using wheelchairs, walkers, canes, and dentures. Thank you so much for advocating to protect trans children, the medical community and extreme trans activists are doing such harm to the bodies and health of growing children and it makes me so sad to think of all the victims who will be seen as nothing more than collateral damage of a greedy medicalized movement .
